Curriculum Project Theme: Cumulative Blog
General Description of the Curriculum Project: The students will create a personally customized blog at the beginning of the semester using Blogger. After every media project, the students will submit them through their blogs. The students will post the project and write a brief description and a short self-evaluation including their strengths and weaknesses with each project.
Media Literacy Goals: The students will create self-led assessment materials for evaluating their own media artwork on their blogs. The students will evaluate, analyze, and describe the characteristics of media artworks and explain their significance and intended audience.

Detailed Description of Procedures:
First day of class:

The teacher will introduce what the students will learn in the class and demonstrate how to use blogger

The students will create a blogger account and begin to customize their pages
For each media assignment, the student will:

Post their finished media project to their blog

Write a brief description about the project to go along with the image

Include media literacy goals: intended purpose and audience

Describe what they liked about their project (strengths) and what they did not like about them (weaknesses)
